April 4th & 5th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A Two Day Intensive Puppet Bonanza!
This workshop will help the budding puppeteer or experienced manipulator hone their artistry by closely examining the technical skills required to bring the puppet to life, through the lens of the television camera.
Using a series of game-based exercises, we will examine core manipulation skills: Breath, focus, timing, lip-synch, acting and reacting.
Each participant will have the opportunity to perform solo, with multiple puppet characters, and as part of a team working on a single puppet.
Every puppeteer will leave the class with a better idea of how to bring life to their puppet characters, through the lens of a video camera.
Come improve your puppetry skills in a safe, playful environment!
Please note that this is a two day workshop
Please bring your own puppets if possible
